Graphic Design Education Companion

As my graphic design capstone project, which spanned two terms to complete, this became the project in which I invested the most time into. The first term focused on extensive research ending in the completion of a thesis paper (included below); the second term resulted in a design project inspired by my research. My final piece is a fully interactive PDF which means that almost all content is 'clickable' and links viewers to online information. The Graphic Design Education Companion is designed for incoming Oregon State University design students as a resource for information that is not necessarily taught through the program. With all the resources available online it's important for university campus students to keep abreast of what's being offered online. Additionally, I feel it's important to continually educate ourselves on the newest technologies and online tools in order to stay competitive in the graphic design field. This project aims to make students aware of these technologies and tools that are relevant today.

The Graphic Design Education Companion was so well received that it has been distributed to all students in The School of Design and Human Environment at Oregon State University for the 2015/2016 school year, which includes all graphic design, interior design, fashion design, and fashion merchandising students.

PROCESS
